Some / Any
Use some and any with plural countable nouns and uncountable nouns when the exact amount does not matter. The choice depends on the sentence type: positive, negative, or question.

Special case: SOME in questions (offers & requests)
When making an offer or polite request, use some in the question, because you expect the answer to be yes.

Remember! Use some in positive sentences and any in negatives and most questions. The exception is offers: Would you like some tea? is perfectly correct and completely natural.
