@alexvdovychHi, I am Oleksandr
I have been teaching English for over eight years, and I still like it as much as I did in my first week. English is my third language out of five, so I have sat on your side of the desk. I know what it feels like when a rule makes perfect sense in the lesson and then falls apart the moment you open your mouth.
I have lived in 7 countries and visited 18. Every one of them taught me something about how people really speak, which is rarely the version printed in a coursebook. When I explain a tense here, I explain the one native speakers actually use, and I tell you when the textbook answer would sound strange.
That is the whole idea behind this site. Short explanations in normal words, then enough practice to make the rule automatic. No shortcuts, because there are none, but no boredom either.
Why I built this site
Most free English sites give you a rule and three questions, then ask for your email. Most good ones cost more per month than a language app you will stop opening in two weeks. I wanted a third option, so I built it: coding is my other hobby, and this whole site is mine from the first line of code to the last exercise.
Everything you need to actually improve is free and open. No account, no trial, no card. If you want the extras, printable worksheets, speed drills, certificates and no ads, PRO costs $2.50 a month and it pays for the hosting and for the next batch of lessons.
Use it properly and it will work. That is all I ask.
